Wanderings

On my third weekend in a row of not actually having time to 'relax', techically speaking. I'm on a schedule of working every other weekend until Pennsic, and last weekend, of course, was GNEW, which I had to go to. And given that the tent I was sleeping in had full exposure to the sun, as soon as the sun was up, so was I. Lots of bugs this year to go along with the heat, but I had a good time, did a lot of fencing, finally got the OFFICIAL reauthorization for both schlager and dagger (the amount of paperwork I've filled out and has been lost (NOT by me, mind you!) is staggering sometimes...) and did more fencing. I was also assisted in obtaining a decent amount of beautifully blue shoe leather. So, one of these years, when I get the number of started but not finished projects in my possesion down to about...three, or four...I'll be able to get started on footwear for myself. I did (almost) finish the corset that I've been putting together for awhile now...the only thing left to find will be aiglets for the tips of my cord, so that I can actually lace it! I now also have pieces cut for a shirt, and I can't decide yet whether my next cutting out will be of a bodice (to go with the corset) or a proper fencing jacket (so I can save the red thing for practice), or I could work on socks, or the glove I have half finished, or the...yea. Right.

Today looks like a gorgeous day outside, so I may just hop off the company computer and see if I can snatch 1) some sunshine 2)some horse time or 3) a nap
